AMH Blood Test

Our Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test checks ovarian reserve. It is a particularly useful marker if you are thinking of starting a family later on in life or undergoing fertility treatment.

Understanding Biomarkers

Biomarkers are specific compounds detected in your blood sample that reflect different aspects of your health. Your test will tell you your levels for each biomarker and whether they are within a normal range.

Why Check AMH Levels?

Knowing your AMH levels are normal for your age is useful if you are thinking of starting a family later in life or are undergoing IVF treatment. AMH blood tests cannot identify fertility issues or predict your chances of falling pregnant, but they can help you understand your ovarian reserve.

When and How to Test Your AMH

You can test your AMH levels from the comfort of your home with our finger prick blood test. We recommend you collect your blood sample on day 3 of your menstrual cycle, or any time if you’ve stopped having periods. You don’t need to fast before taking the test. The kit contains everything you need to collect a small sample of blood. It also includes a free return postage label for you to post it back to our labs for analysis. Our medical team will review your results and provide comments and advice to help you understand them.
